BROGG DAT FOOL
For those who don't know, my partner Chris Pace and I own and operate a recording studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. (www.smokeandmirrors.us) We offer extremely competetive rates, and in doing so we have generated an eclectic client base. I come from a rock background (METAL DUDE!) and so does Chris ("Lou Reed is the greatest composer of our time") but that doesn't stop us from producing (along with ICE-A-TONE) one of the freshest sounding hip hop records I've heard in many years. ICE is a grown man, and has his contacts in the "rap game", and he's going to shop his record about, looking to score a deal. I hope it works out for him, but it get's me thinking; how much cost and effort would it take to develop my own on-line label (the dream of many). We've got the catalog. We need the capital. And a few good MBA's.
