THIS JUST IN

Soylent Green is people, it's people. Stick with the Soylent Yellow. I'm thinking about getting some Furniture.

Comments:
Is this another one that you watched while sweating it out house/dog sitting?

Did you think it was any good?

Good? Hmmmm, well yeah. I love the old Chuck Heston Sci Fi stuff. Omega Man, Planet of the Apes. I hadn't seen Soylent Green in about twenty years, it's got some cool 'futuristic' stuff, like how they thought things would advance, but like phones, which HAVE radically changed since 1970, are the same, as well as army trucks, and weponry, I love the part where the chick buys a black market steak and they all ooh and ahhh over a hunk of meat. The Furniture bit is such a late sixties male ideal fantasy. You should watch it some night the wife bows out early. I just watched Our Man Flint - Coburn Bond spoof - Talk about late sixties American male ideal, fun stuff.

Dorothy never left Kansas, the Planet of the Apes is actually earth, Darth is Luke's father.

Dorothy never left Kansas? Then where the hell was she?

Let's see - Bruce Willis is a ghost! Brad Pitt and Edward Norton are the same person! Anthony Perkins was the mother! It was all a dream!

I mean, we all knew it was people, right?
