DEATH AWAITS ME

The following list of the worst things to eat/drink I found on MSN.

Hydrogenated fats; avoid buying cookies, crackers, baked goods or anything else that has hydrogenated oil on the ingredient list.

I can do that.

Olestra. Olestra has been shown to bind with fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D and K and carotenoids—substances thought to keep the immune system healthy and prevent some cancers—and to eliminate them from your system.

No problem, I prefer real fat.

Nitrates; many foods, especially cured meats such as bacon and hot dogs, use nitrates to preserve color and maintain microbial safety. Nitrate is harmless, but it can convert to nitrite, which can form nitrosamines, a powerful cancer-causing chemical, in your body. When you do eat foods containing nitrates, have a glass of orange juice at the same time. Vitamin C is known to inhibit the conversion to nitrosamines in your stomach.

I have a weakness for foods that contain nitrates, but I do drink a shit-ton of juice.

Alcohol; this one item has created more problems than all the rest put together.

Amen. Removing alcohol from my diet is just not going to happen.

Raw oysters; raw oysters can carry deadly bacteria that can cause severe illness or death.

I didn't want to hear that. I have a serious problem here.

Saturated animal fats, found in fatty meats, especially beef and pork, or the skin on poultry. It also includes full-fat dairy products such as cheese, milk and cream.

Another serious problem.

Soda

Not an issue, I don't drink it.

Low-acid home-canned foods.

Who does this? Home canned food? I'm not familiar with this phenomena.

High-fat snacks, chips; it is thought that too many of these fats may be leading to certain chronic diseases.

I do eat chips, but only when they are around. I don't buy them, but they show up at the studio, and My Baby's house. Corn chips are the best tasting chips.

Liquid meals.

I think they are referring to Ensure and other supplementary type stuff, which I don't drink, but I've had my share of liquid lunches, and dinners, but we've covered that already.

Okay, so I'm not ready for the bone-yard yet, but man, this health stuff ain't easy. Sometimes my dinner is raw oysters, beer, and cheese. Toss in beef jerkey, and I'm in heaven.

Then I guess he's gambling with his life.

It figures Eric would be canning at home. I just knew he was the home canning type, always living on the edge, pickling and preserving.
