DENMARK VESEY'S PLANTATION

Y'all should take a trip over to one of my favorite blogs. I gotta update my blogroll. This guy, Papa Robbie, is a freind of the Legal Diva, but don't hold that against him. He is well informed, opinionated, and funny as hell.

From his post on Chuck Norris:

"Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie the fuck down."

"When Chuck Norris sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, crouched and ready to attack. Chuck Norris has not had to pay taxes, ever."

There's also a great exposee on the Reagan Myth, that is the implication that he was anything other that an actor.

Comments:
Those are from the Chuck Norris fact generator, which I linked to on my blog last month.

Where's my shout out?

Sorry Dave, I guess I missed your Norris Blog, well at least we've established the origin of content.

Great Blog, thanks for the link....

I DID say that I found those "facts" through research didn't I? lol Thanks for the shout out! I'm sure that the Legal Diva will REALLY dig that shot that you took.

Chuck Norris as an agent of selection is perfectly plausible.

However, this would not mean that evolution isn't real (since evolution is a change in the genetic makeup of a population) - indeed, by allowing only certain creatures to live, he is the means by which evolution occurs.

If you're a science nerd, the funnier Chuck Norris fact would be:

"There is no natural selection, just a list of creatures Chuck Norris allows to live."

Remember, kids, evolution is NOT a theory, any more than gravity. What are theories are the means by which it happens - floods, disease, or Chuck Norris.

But if Chuck exercises judgement in applying the selective force, wouldn't that be akin to...INTELLIGENT DESIGN?????

No, no.

Not any more than human-directed selection in dogs...

The selective force can be intelligent (or not, depending on your opinions of dog breeders) but I don't think that's what the ID people are saying...
