Savage Distortion

I found a huge stash of vinyl at a junk shop very near the studio. I'm not going to reveal the location until after I've cleaned it out. Don't worry, I saw a lot of great records that I already have there, so it will still be a rich vein of wax for others to mine.

The fact that it's located so conveniently is amazing enough, but look what I found there.

I recently blogged about Mott The Hoople, and was unable to comment upon their eponymously titled debut LP because I didn't own it.

Not anymore.

Also recently I wrote a Joe Walsh post, in which I mentioned that I did not own a copy of his first post James Gang record, 'Barnstorm'.

That too has changed.

Unbelievable, right?

I also picked up the soundtrack for 'National Lampoon's Lemmings'.

A Woodstock parody featuring pre-SNL John Belushi and Chevy Chase as well Christopher Guest. Belushi's famous Joe Cocker impersonation was developed for this Off-Broadway show.

I scapped up 'Call of the Wild' by Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes.

Peter Tosh's 'Equal Rights'.

Kate Bush, 'Lionheart'.
